(It was just bugging the crap out of me to see this any time I play. Yes, I play my own game sometimes : )
You've got to beat the dealer by getting closer to 21.
The dealer hits on 16 and stays on 17.
Numerical cards are worth their value; face cards
are worth 10; the ace can be 11 or 1, depending.
Split: Get any two cards of equal value (mixed cards are OK), and you can split
the hand with a bet of equal value to the original. You can only split once; and, in the case of
split aces, you can only hit once per hand after splitting.
Let's talk about money:
You will get $200 to start.
You can bet as much as you like each time. If you
win by blackjack (with your first 2 cards), the house
pays 3:2. Other wins pay 1:1. If you lose, you
lose your bet, obviously. If the dealer's first showing card
is an ace, you get a chance to buy insurance for the cost
of half your bet. Then if the dealer has blackjack, you keep your stakes.
In the case of a push,
you keep your stakes as well. Prove you are a real card
shark by turning that $200 into $1,000. Run out of
money and it's GAME OVER.
