The New Nseeker Ncurses File Picker
No more messing around with annoying escaped characters and spaces in file and dir names. This pairs nicely with spcm. It even has its own config file where you can set your preferences.
nseeker.c (This uses the ncurses library so you have to compile it like this: gcc -o nseeker nseeker.c -lncurses, with gcc for example). The way this works, by the way, is you run nseeker with another command, say "nseeker localc" for example. Then you navigate through the file system within nseeker to the file you want to run the command on. Pretty simple but useful.
AA 4th Step Helper: Cleaning House
Is it time to get down to that fearless personal inventory? This little program may be just the thing to get you going on it. Anyhow, I think it is pretty useful. Some folks may feel like there is no substitute for sitting down with a notebook. But I feel like this can be a powerful tool, especially if you are struggling with getting started. Check it out: cleaning_house.py. It even has a password feature just for fun. (Now with -w flag to generate a file for your sponsor).
A Couple of Bash Scripts
spcm
This is a cool way to play multiple video or audio files locally while keeping track of progress. It has a lot of other functionality, too. spcm
Alarm
This is an alarm script. It is actually pretty useful. You have to place the audio file you want it to play as the alarm in $HOME/.alarm/alarm_song.mp3: alarm
